From the artist, Danielle Blade: “The rich organic colors are applied to molten glass. The glass is manipulated into complex forms which are inspired by leaves, branches, tendrils, and roots.
The central structures of these pieces retain a translucency. When illuminated, the sculptures give a lustrous glow capable of defusing light and offering a visual juxtaposition with the outer opaque glass portions… Inviting the viewer for closer inspection.
All sculptures are sand etched and sealed with a lustrous satin finish.
The Arbor sculptures whether grouped or solo are free standing and able to be displayed in a variety of different ways allowing the viewer to create their own look.”
This piece is part of our Masterworks Collection, where we showcase the finest examples of contemporary glass art from the best glass artists in the world. who are truly masters of their craft.

“Danielle Blade’s work captures nature at its finest. The dynamic, swirling colors of her Strata series are like a beautifully aged tree trunk: evocative, mysterious, and magical.”
